Bottle from The Beermongers.
A clear dark reddish brown with a brown head with good retention and lacing, this looks good. The nose has soft caramel, toffee, a mild spruce note and some burnt sugar. The palate opens mildly sweet with dark brown sugar, toffee, dark caramel along with a mild but noticeable spruce brightness. The spruce also adds a mild bitterness to the palate. Mildly sweet on the midpalate, this beer has some lingering spruce and toffee on the finish. This beer is paradoxically both, medium bodied yet mildly watery at times. Carbonation is soft, working nicely with the toffee notes. Decent.

Poured at cellar temperature into a Campbell's Ale tulip. Ruby brown color, light tan head. Smells fruity like prunes raspberries. Taste spikes of raspberries, dark chocolate, tart cherry cider, roasted chicory, complex bitterness over a warm light malty base, with lingering funk. Feels round and cider like. This is the first bottle from Wolf Tree I've had, was hoping it would be enjoyably interesting, did not disappoint.

22 oz bottle purchased from Lifesource in Salem OR $5.99 Pours a dark amber brown colour with a gorgeous large frothy/bubbly light tan head. Malty caramel aromas..with a slight fresh pine( spruce?) aspect, slight floral hops. Taste the same but with more spruce tip especially in the end of the mouthful. There is also a slight raspberry jam sweetness..strange but nice, Mouth feel is lively and crisp. Unusual but good beer.
