From the Freshness dated bomber (30 days old) into a perfect pint glass results in a dark amber body capped by a large frothy tan head that stays around for the whole experience, the body is very clear.
Aroma is pungent with lots of fresh pine and a hint of tropical fruit
Taste is superb, The sweetness of the grain bill comes through nicely and is balanced by a very nice bitterness. Subtle tropical fruit notes creep in at the edges, finishes clean.
On the dark side of the pale ale family without being overtaxed by the malt while toying with being a Double this is one very fine beer.

p- dark hazy amber w/ a 2f foamy slightly off-white head; nice retention; darker than anticipated; nice pour, though
n- med-bold; toasted malts meet tropical and citrusy hop notes; sweet and sticky; inviting
t- dank, earthy, and resinous; sweet, sticky, and spicy; tropical and dank earthy hops, pine, toasted malts, and mustiness; pretty solid
mf- med-full; med carb; sticky, yet dry at times; satisfying
o- different from what I was expecting; quite good, though; look forward to trying more from these guys

Hazy dark gold almost brown with two fingers of off white head.
Smell is dank resinous.
Taste is dank resinous with some melon and a tinge of grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Finish is lightly dry and bitter.
A pleasant and easy drinking IPA.

From the can dated 5-31-18 (7 days old).
Pours anything but golden. Even when held to light it's amber at best, but ultimately appears rusty orange and pretty damn clear. The small khaki head is a bit unimpressive as well, but does keep some great surface coverage.
Smells very nice, but once again slightly underwhelming. A nice sweet caramel and toffee lies behind a respectable dose of berries, orange, and pine.
The trend continues, but it's not necessarily a bad thing. Caramel and well toasted bread support a much more spruce tip like hoppiness.
I'd say this is almost medium bodied with low carbonation and a moderate level of dryness. It has an initial sweet punch, but ultimately is a very bitter beer that lasts and lasts.
Very much more of what I'd call a Red IPA, or perhaps even a modern take on an English IPA, in which case I would score this much higher. It is refreshing to have something unique again. Cheers.

Shaker pint poured from a growler. Purchased at Capital Taproom in Salem. $12 Pours an amber/orange coloured body, with a large attractive cream coloured head Aromas of floral and resiny hop..some citrus too and of deep creamy caramel malts. Taste similar. malts maybe a bit toasty even..hops mellow but long lasting. nice welcoming mouth feel smooth with medium low carbonation and semi heavy mouth feel A very nice easy drink......in the English style of IPA if i might be so bold. Good
