a tasty and well made base hefeweizen here, jazzed up with pomegranate. frosty looking, a little pink hue to it, high headed, and very lively on the carbonation. it smells awesome, with a really clean wheat base, a summery banana and spice ester from the yeast, which seems quite traditional here, and then a little juicy tang from the fruit, a nice mix of smells, almost thirst quenching before i even taste it. the flavor is also real pleasant, a little more estery than it smells, a hint of a white wine thing to it, very fresh tasting on the grain side, simple there, and without too much fruit, no sweetness from it at all, a cool little pop of acidity with it thats nice with the hefe yeast, and rushing carbonation that washes each sip clean. i like the low dose on the fruit and the distinctive flavor it brings, but i also think the base beer would be very solid here on its own, its well made and light but flavorful, and has a very summery vibe to it. i was pretty impressed with the beer quality across the board in here when we visited, neat spot, they should make a name for themselves in the area pretty quickly with beers like these!
