Look: Opaque dark amber in color with a nice frothy, off-white head that mountains up and settles to a film, leaving sticky lacing on the glass
Aroma: Pine, blueberries, ruby-red grapefruit, tangerine, sweet bready malt, blood orange, and thimbleberries
Taste: Citrus, berries, and pine rush onto the palate and quickly develop in depth while being joined by rich bready malt. A total citrus and berry fruit salad ensues as pine and malt weave in and out and closes with pine along with a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full, a little slick, medium-high carbonation, and light to medium dryness on the finish
Overall: This is tasty stuff. Sadly, I believe this is my first beer from these folks and a great one to do so as it was a gifted crowler from my dad and is also delicious. A ton of citrus, pine, and berries throughout along with a good malt base and though it’s all WCIPA to me, it is definitely unfiltered as it is a dark, murky almost brown looking beer. I need to try more of these folks’ offerings and they’re off to a good start with this IPA
