Brick Works Brewing & Eats was founded in 2016 by Eric Williams, Ryan Maloney, and Kevin Reading, Kent County Delaware Entrepreneurs. Focused on producing the highest quality beverages and menu items, the brewpub prides itself on utilizing locally sourced ingredients for both their beers and their foods.

For years, the partners spoke about working on a project together. But, the right opportunity had not presented itself. Shortly after fall of 2015, a property developer in Smyrna approached Reading with a restaurant location that could not be beat. Reading pitched the idea of a brewpub to Williams and Maloney, and Brick Works was soon formed.

The name Brick Works was chosen because Smyrna used to house a brick making factory. The idea of utilizing the location’s former life as the name stuck out to the partners, as they wished to emulate the art and the craft comes along with laying bricks.

The Brick Works menu focuses on fusing local products together to form an integrated dining experience. Through the brewing and pairing of the right beers with the right food preparations in a warm atmosphere, the brewpub truly prides itself on presenting the best Delaware has to offer.

Nice location that usually has a mix of locals and those passing through. They have a both a bar side and a large dining area. Menu has both bar food and regular meals, bot h a little upscale. Have always had good food. The service is usually very good. They always have a wide selection of beers on draft. A couple IPAs, a lager, a stout, and others. All are good examples of their class. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area.

From the outside, just another restaurant on the side of the road. On the inside, a friendly welcoming establishment with a nice variety of brews. Great food, pub style.

Visited 2 times in the last 6 month's. Great atmosphere, the place was fairly crowded both times, but we never had to wait for service. BW had a 1/2 off eats special during the visits, so we all had a nice late afternoon beer and appetizer dinner. The wings were very good, taco's made the cut, and the crab dip had no complaints. We might have gone for the entrees, but even half price specials were high (what is it with these brew pups and their outrageous food prices?).

The brews we had were mostly from local breweries, as BW didn't have a full compliment of their own beer yet.. but everything was so good the 1st time, we went back 2 weeks later.
