this is a really flavorful brew, tons of natural cucumber to it, but its not that light as they go, not as light as a lot of cream ales out there, not in color, not in body, its only the cumber itself that makes this drinkable and refreshing, not sure it would be on its own, but as it is now, its a summery and fresh beer, garden vibes abound. i think i want my cream ale to look a little more delicate and refined, but its hard to argue with the sensory experience here, which is the dark green skin of the cucumber and its wet flesh, seeds and all, like a summer salad, really pleasant and nice, simple but good on top of a light malt base with just a touch of leftover sweetness, nothing too outrageous here, but the cucumber flavor is super true and natural, and they did a nice job working it into the beer while still allowing this to taste like beer. the thing is, im not sure what the base beer would be worth on its own, seems just average to me in terms of execution, but maybe its the intensity of the cucumber obscuring it some. i wont be too harsh, and i will again call out the good here, which is the natural and robust real cucumber character present in this from start to finish.
