Juicy, crushable, Session IPA. Fully flavoured hazy East Coast-style brew with big tropical notes, a citrus hum, and pineapple on the nose. Hopped with Mosaic & Citra for a classically tropical flavour. Our flagship beer, and year-round favourite.

Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a large, foamy, quickly receeding head. Smells of light biscuity malt and muddled tropical/citrus hops, with notes of mango and orange. Taste follows the nose, with a decent balance of very light biscuity malt and muddled, tangy tropical and citrus hops, with notes of mango, orange and tangerine. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some mango and orange lingering in the aftertaste. Effervescent mouthfeel with a light body and very strong carbonation.

I'm really not a huge fan of "Session IPAs" and this beer is the perfect example of why that is, drinking more like an orange soda with its sweet, tangy, slighty muddled citrus and lighter tropical hop notes, very low bitterness, light body, almost no malt presence and very strong carbonation. While it's probably a good example of the style and should make for a nice thirst-quencher on a hot summer day, it's really not for me personally at all, to be honest.

Cool can that the top completely pulls off so you can use it as a glass.

A 330ml can with a BB of July 2019. Purchased a little while back from Tesco. The instructions on the can indicate that this is supposed to be a hazy session IPA.

A: Poured into a tulip. Can-conditioned. A very hazy golden hue with intense carbonation and plentiful fine sediment. Yields a large head of fluffy white foam that lasts for a while before slowly subsiding to a persistent surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of sharp, fruity hops with hints of citrus zest, lemon, peel, tropical fruit, white grape, mild leafiness, a touch of resin, earthy yeast and light malt. Seriously fruity - very nice.

T: Tastes of intensely fruity hops with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple, citrus, mild grapefruit, peel, white grape, leafiness, subtle resin, earthiness, yeast and pale malt. Very dry, followed by a robust hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with lively carbonation and decent body for the strength. Somewhat astringent; dries the palate. Aftertaste of sharp fruity hops, citrus, tropical fruit, mild resin, earthiness and light malt.

O: Pretty good - light on malt character but exceptionally fruity and refreshing. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are stuffed with hops; earthy yeast and malt bring up the rear. Body is OK. Drinkable and tasty - perfect for a hot day. Worth sampling.

330ml Can from Tesco (£1.80):
Definitely a light & basic session IPA which was a shame, there was a touch of pine & citrus early on with some dank notes & an oily bitterness on the taste later on but there's not a whole lot to the beer really. It was bordering on thin at times but there was a few touches of tropical fruit further on as well which were nice but not enough to save this one sadly.
