L- Can opens with a loud pop and wisp of vapour. Pours black, with 3mm tan head. Held up to a halogen bulb barely a photon gets through the bottom corner of the glass.
S- Coffee and cocoa, clear as day.
T- Coffee and cocoa and hints of perfumey vanilla following, but with a big sweetness in parallel.
F- It's heavily rich, to the extent of being sweet^. Carbonation in the mouth seems good.
O- Warrants being served very chilled, if not the sweetness might be OTT. It's certainly different but I wouldn't buy it again. It's perhaps both the most pungent (coffee/cocoa) and sweetest beer I've had in many a year, and that comes over as unbalanced aka a big statement but a blunt instrument too.
BB: 19/11/2020 440ml black can wrapped in the designed matt plastic lable. The can is of the pull-off lid design. £3.60 bought from Oddins, London W11

440ml Can from Tesco (£3):
Dark mahogany/black with a foamy, tan coloured head about 3cm tall with lots of visible carbonation. There's chocolate on the nose with some lactose & milky notes, a bit of vanilla & plenty sugars too with roasted malts at the end. The taste was quite sweet too with a lot of chocolate & vanilla, there was some darker malts & coffee touches towards the end as well. The beer was slightly thinner than expected but very smooth & well-balanced without too much alcohol showing either.
