Born on the winter solstice in December and re-brewed around the summer solstice, this classic Berliner Weisse coincides with two solar phenomenons and seasons. Tart cranberry with aromas of blood orange, balanced by the addition of lactose for increased body, reflects the contrast of these two annual events. A refreshing, sharp, and moreish sour.

330ml can from Tesco (£1.80):
Raspberry purple to red with a half cm, foamy head with quite fine bubbles, eventually settling as a thin surface lacing. There's a lot of citrus, orange & tart on the nose, it had a sort of Tizer feel to it with some red berries & a faint sourness. It's more fruity & sour with the taste, again lots of citrus with a good helping of blood or age too with raspberry to finish. The mouthfeel is tart & sharp with a tangy sweetness but it's surprisingly refreshing for being as funky.

Canned in a crafty craft can and purchased from city centre Tesco for 20p extra than my local store, not bothered though
Pours a red tainted body with minimal white head
The blood orange and cranberry are very present in the aroma
Yeah fruity
