Named after the first steam powered locomotive, this powerful yet deceitfully smooth IPA showcases two new hop varieties introduced over eight precisely timed kettle additions. Bold flavors delicately coalesce with a sweet and succulent light body making this devil in disguise undeniably sinful.

Opening the crowler I was met with a grassy, dank and somewhat fruity aroma. Weed, orange, caramel, and a decently bitter finish. Quite sweet and a bit herbal as well. This beer has a good body and decent carbonation.

A: Pours a slightly hazy medium golden honey in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and faint golden yellow + amber colored highlights. The beer has a half finger tall sudsy foamy light beige head that reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Just shy of moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith, grassy, herbal, and pine hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit malts with a hint of caramel malts.
T: Upfront there is a light to moderate flavor of biscuit malts with a light flavors of caramel malts and a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith, grassy, herbal, and pine hops which impart a light to moderate amount of lingering bitterness.
M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp with a hint of thinness/wateriness in the finish.
O: More of a traditional American IPA than the juicy style that more and more breweries are putting out nowadays but still really enjoyable, Easy to drink with nice hop flavors and aromas over a solid malt backbone. Alcohol is well hidden.
