16oz can. Purchased at Albertsons in Glasgow MT. No dating information found.
Clear, pale gold colored body. One finger of white head which dissipates but leaves a thin cap. Leaves behind short strings of lacing.
Aroma of toasted malts and raspberry fruit.
Taste is a blend of ragged raspberry and toasted malt. Very sweet for this combination. All flavors continue in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Raspberry provides a bit of tartness. Very good carbonation.
Overly harsh brew that is difficult to enjoy. Brings forth artificial flavors.

this is pretty simple and basic stuff, a raspberry blonde ale thats nice for summer, has a lot of fruit flavor and not much beer flavor, but isnt bad overall. it think they do some other flavors of it too, but raspberry i believe is the original. the fruit is not all the way natural, too sweet for that and without the tartness that real raspberries have, but whatever fruit element they use here or how they use it, it tastes good, and thats hard to argue with. not much color to this one from the fruit which seems odd, very little grain character to it either, simple as a blonde, maybe overly so, even boring as they go, so the raspberry really is about all thats there, pleasant though, and summery. its not too sweet in the end but it is a bit under carbonated, so it doesnt drink as easy as something like this really needs to for me. id like to try some other flavors of this, the mango sounds nice and i could see things like cherry and apple working well too, but ultimately i think it needs a little more malt to it, even for a blonde this is a little light...
