St. Stephen's Stout from Sackets Brewing Co is an excellent beer. The beer pours like a Guinness stout, with a beautiful dark brown head. This midnight black beer has aromas of smoked malt and dark chocolate. The first sip is creamy and thick with flavors of roasted malt, chocolate, and a hint of bitterness at the finish that smoothens the roasted notes.

This beer is still being brewed, as I had this at the Sacket's Harbor Brewing Co. I beleive this might be a seasonal brew.
A: Served a creamy Black color with a nice head that fades fairly quick to a good lacing.
S: Has a mild roasted malt and coffee aroma, Not much happening here.
T: Mild malt flavor with a hint of sweetness. Pretty bland.
F: Fairly light body and smooth.
D: I was expecting a bit more. Decent entry level stout, unoffensive and goes down easy.

Appearance- It is even creamy looking as it pours. Opaque color is about the standard for a beer of this style. Cream colored head and lace have lot of stamina.
Smell- It smells like coffee with a lot of cream and sugar.
Taste- It tastes likes mixture of roasted coffee, malt, milk chocolate and bitter dark chocolate.
Mouthfeel- Thick and foamy but not as creamy as it looks.
Drinkability- Good but I could only have few.

A - Creamy nitro pour takes a while to settle of course. Ends up a pitch black liquid over a light brown/cream colored head. Looks a bit watery though.
S - Coffee and roastiness for the most part.
T - Roasty, as expected, with a coffee and touch of dark chocolate. A touch nutty as well.
M - Creamy nitro-smooth.
D - Easy drinking, unremarkable stout. Gains a lot from being on nitro I think, but doesn't stand out.

Poured an oil slick black this past weekend. No caps for the growler, so I drank the whole thing during open mic night.
Smell was sublte earth and touch of coffee.
Taste: Refined nearing a dry stout with no bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: The smoothes stout I've imbibed in some time, you can almost forget your drinking it the texture is so consistent.
Very easy stout to come back for another.
