Enjoyed this beer from tap at the brewery, poured into a tulip glass. Outstanding head and lacing with a rich dark brown body - a beautiful beer. Smell and taste of sweet dark berries and semi-sweet dark chocolate. Dark pumpernickel toast and a hint of coffee. Very nicely layered flavors. Bordering on a stout - excellent beer!

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter. This mighty fine Baltic pours
a muddled blackish brown with a thin cola highlight and a khaki head that
settles to a thick ring and a thin clumping layer with subtle lacing. Nose of
cocoa, dark char, toast, and subtle fruit notes. Flavors surpass the nose
with dark fudge, cola, subtle cream, light char, nice roast, and faint dried
fruit elements of blueberry and sweet cherry. Excellent mouth feel, medium
full body, medium light carbonation, and a nice roasted finish.
