From the 16.9 fl oz bottle in a snifter. This excellent 2022 vintage aged in
Buffalo Trace barrels for 18 months pours a nice blackish brown with a moderate
head of light brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin faint layer, and shows some
light lacing. Nose of bourbon, blueberry, vanilla, and subtle oak amongst dark roasted
goodness. Flavors nail it. Dark chocolate and blueberries dance about layers of bourbon
and vanilla cream, dashed with oak and subtle dark coffee. Char and roast are kept in
check with an emphasis on balance. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, moderately coating,
lightly warm, light carbonation, and a lightly sweet finish that is exceptionally balanced.
Overall----another WOW brew from a great brewery!
