From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This MONSTER pours a dark and murky
brown with a moderate head of fizzling khaki foam that settles to a faint ring with
some mighty nice legs. Nose of bourbon, oak, rich vanilla, brown sugars, toffee,
dates, and dark rich malts. Flavors find 11 on the amplifier with candied cherry,
dates, raisin, brown sugar, bourbon, oak, vanilla, and dark breaded malts. Mouth feel
is medium, faint carbonation in the strict English sense, lightly warming, well hidden
booze, and finishing sweet without being cloying.
Overall, I have met other brewers in the area and when they hear we are heading to
Nine Giant Ferm they all say the brewer is a master of the barrel.
I humbly agree.
Cheers
