Stopped in for late afternoon/early evening pint and pizza. Great location, right in the heart of the busy central shopping area. Also, a really short walk from the Queen Street Train Station. Large open room layout with booths and tables. I got there around 4:30 or 4:45 and there weren't many people there. By about 5:15-5:30 it was really busy. A handful of their own beers on tap with a large selection of guest taps in a variety of styles. I had one of their pale ales, it was fine. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to Shilling a bit more than my afternoon stop at Drygate Brewing in Glasgow. Nice spot to grab a beer before catching a train.

I got to stop by on a trip through the heart of Glasgow. I was one of only two other people in this big space. The service was pretty bad. I usually let it slide, but I was the only person at the bar. The selection was nice and the beer was pretty solid. Maybe I should visit when they are busier? Either way, I'd come here again, just to try more of their beer.

Visited this center city brewery/pub on the last night of my recent trip to Scotland. Shilling Brewing Company (SBC) is a classy place - the venue could have been a bank, I guess. It is a beautiful high-ceiling room airy and well lit by several large windows looking out onto busy George Street. There are a few plush booths, several individual tables and a smattering of large communal tables. In the front of this room is the swanky marble bar, where you order. During my visit, they offered about a half dozen house drafts, which included Glasgow Red, Unicorn IPA, Black Unicorn and a porter called Black Star Teleporter. There were also several guests available. The menu consisted of wood stove pizza and calzone, the latter being very tasty. SBC is a great place to relax, eat, drink and watch the amazing city of Glasgow.
