16oz undated can poured into a willie becher shows a clear, reddish-amber body floating a persistent cap of white bubbles and leaves spotted lacing.
Aromas of pine and grapefruit, although muted do show themselves and the taste is more clearly pine, grapefruit, papaya, and rinds.
Medium and soft feel is odd, but works here.
Overall an easy drinking double labeled "8.5%".

Had on tap. Promised a big citra punch at the end. Not at all. Hops were mild and almost medicinal. Body was very watery. It tasted like the food I had at Hardware, not completely done yet!

On tap at the brewery's gastropub. The 11.8% ABV, 98.6 IBU version.
A - thick lacing sticks to the glass as the ivory head fades atop an amber-ish colored ale
S - hardly any sort of aroma at all. Very strange. I get a bit of earthy & herbal hop and some grain but that's it
T - hop forward with the booze being obvious. Caramel malt, honey, grain, earthy, herbal and zesty hops with grapefruit and pine leading the pungent, bitter charge
M - full bodied, very smooth, ample carbonation, finishes bitter with pine and grapefruit zest lingering on the palate with the alcohol
O - this is a big & bold beer with nice flavors but needs a lot more aromatic hops. Glad to try it but would probably opt for something else next time.

Saturated golden orange with good clarity, thin layer of frothy foam, spotty lace.
Aroma was vaguely herbal with a light citrus peel note. Good but mild.
Taste is lightly bitter with a hoppy citrus peel flavor. Dry finish.
Body is a little thin for a DIPA, and even the saison was hoppier.
Overall it could use a tweak or two to make a bigger impression.
