From the bottle. Definitely fresh and high quality. Malt forward and low hops content. Still very tasty beer though all things considered just don't expect a hop bomb because this beer is not that. The English style dominates this one.

A: The beer is clear dark coppery amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high beige colored head that settled down, leaving a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and webs of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy and herbal hops are present in the nose along with notes of caramel and pale malts. The malts become a little stronger as the beer warms up.
T: The taste follows the smell, starting out with initial flavors of grassy and herbal hops and finishing with notes of caramel malt undertones. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness. The herbal hops linger into the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. Only faint amounts of crispness are perceptible.
O: In the current world of hoppy IPAs, this beer is a refreshing change of pace if you are looking for something maltier and not overly bitter.

Happy to be first to add and review Smart Beer's Organic IPA. Which is a beautiful looking and drinking IPA.
A) Perfect. Copper clear body (like a Dales), lasting 2 finger head that keeps a white coin thick lid, and sheets of lace. Perfect.
S) Not shy. Pine, grass, classic crisp bite, over a back drop of malt. (Again very like Dales Pale)
T) Ample, follows smell, pine, grass, walk in woods, earthen floor, against a creamy malt backdrop for a pleasant see-saw of flavors where the peppery bite of hops win out in the finale.
F) Again I'd compare with Dales - cleansing, prickly, clean, refreshing, good food beer.
Oh how I wish this came in cans. Makes me feel good because organic. Try 24. Great find, great beer.
