I bought a bottle of Patience – Dockside from Bootleggers in Sandton. After a careful pour it was clear golden with fizzy white head that is not leaving any lace. The scent is similar to a Belgian blonde ale some hints of clove and sugar. The taste is also similar to Belgian blondes. There is that familiar Belgian sweet base with touches of clove and orange peel. As the beer warms the alcohol seems more potent than the stated 4.4%. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its good….just not my favorite beer style. Certainly worth a try.
