Not a bad Pumpkin Beer!! Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass provides a clear copper color on first pour, slightly hazy on subsequent pours. the head is medium sized on a hard pour - white and bubbly. Head retention is a bit better than average with minimal lacing. Aroma is fairly mild but the taste includes some pumpkin, fairly strong pumpkin spices - especially cinnamon and ginger and maltiness. I find that the Pumpkin beers that include real pumpkin can get away with more pumpkin spicing than the thin, malty varieties. Mouthfeel is smooth and fairly rich. The spices add more than they take away from the mouthfeel. Good effort from a local brewery!!!!

I don't see a date listed on the can. The can does state "5.8% ABV"
Appearance: The beer has a medium golden-brown colored body with a medium-short off-white head that is creamy textured. Good retention and lacing. The body is mostly transparent with only a slight bit of haze.
Aroma: The aroma smells a lot like dried ginger. The ginger scent is strong and pronounced. There is a hint of allspice in the background and as the nose passes away from the glass, clove comes through.
Taste: Up front there is a ton of cinnamon and a light toasted note. It tastes a bit like a cinnamon bun up front. The middle is a stronger and more bitter version of the fore-flavor. The back end of the palate is a spicy potpourri of allspice and clove with a bit of dusty nutmeg flavor at the end.
Mouthfeel: The beer is on the upper edge of light bodied and at the cusp of medium. Bitterness is noticeable and a bit intrusive. Carbonation is good.
Overall: It is a heavily spiced pumpkin beer that battles with bitterness for prominence. I would try it again another year to see if the brewer maintains their aggressive stance of bitterness and spice in this beer or if they tame it a bit. I would only recommend it to people who both enjoy very strongly spiced beers and beers that have a moderately strong hop bitterness. For a Pumpkin Beer it's not one I am likely to recommend in general, as this seems to have a very boutique audience.
