FRom the pint can, it pours a hazy darker amber color with a nice thick off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets spicy scents, possibly pine and maybe a touch of alcohol. The mouth follows with a nicely bitter brew that is slightly sweet, mouth filling and leaves a modest lightly bitter aftertaste.

This is a great Imperial IPA!!! I had the 2022 version.
The brewery says: "Each year the purveyor ‘Yakima Valley Hops’ releases a special blend of hops in honor of Veterans. We used their blend, combined with our own special blend, to hop and dry-hop this ale with over 5 varietie sto assure an intense bitterness and aggressively engineered piney notes."
Very accurate description!!!! I poured this beer from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. It produced a beautiful clear copper color with a big, frothy off-white head. Head retention is excellent for a beer of this strength!!!!! There are several rings of foamy lacing on the glass. A great looking beer!!!! Aroma and taste feature strong piney hops and enough bitterness for any hop-head!!! This beer is a throwback to some of the great hoppy beers before New England and other styles became popular, I didn't really notice the Rye here. Mouthfeel was rich, crisp and bitter. A little alcohol harshness but not a problem. This beer is a"must try" for hop heads!!!!
