I don't see a date listed on the can.
Appearance: It has a brushed gold colored body with a light bit of haze. The head appears sudsy with white bubbles. The head is medium-large in stature and has very good retention and lacing.
Aroma: There is a very fresh smelling, spicy hop aroma with a hint of wildflowers. A light malt aroma comes through from time to time when the hops manage to make room for it.
Taste: Up front there is a lemony character with a light hint of caramel and toasted bread. Towards the middle there is some pine and lime zest. It finishes with a lemon-lime character and a hint of pine. Some mint lingers in the mouth in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-light bodied with a smooth and easy-to-drink texture. It doesn't have much bitterness except for that which is similar to a lemon peel, but it tends to stick around for a bit on the palate.
Overall: The can states that this is an "ITALIAN-STYLE PILSNER DRY-HOPPED WITH SAPHIR" and on the rear of the can it states "Bohemian Lager" next to a picture of an Erlenmeyer flask along with "German Barke Pilsner" next to a picture of barley, and "Saphir" next to a picture of a hop cone. It lists this as having "35IBU" as well. The beer is a great pilsner on the hop-forward side of things. The highlight of the beer is probably the aroma which has a great spicy and floral character which was fresh, but the citrus flavors from the hops could easily be the star of the show as well. I enjoyed it and I would recommend it.
