Germany meets Hawaii and the results are pretty good!!! This beer has several elements of a traditional Gose but with some tropical fruit added. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a tulip glass, this beer has many characteristics of a typical Gose. It is wheat based with a touch of wheat bitterness and has plenty of salt!!! On top of that there is the tropical fruit: pineapple, mango and passion fruit. The makes for a more robust flavor without losing the Gose backbone. Probably not an easy thing to do. Tang Ten has a nice, burnished gold/coppery color and a bubbly white head that fades quickly. Mouthfeel is rich for such a low .abv beer, has a touch of wheat bitterness and saltiness that are not wiped out by the smooth "fruit punch" character. This would be a nice summertime thirst quencher. Well done.
