Hip 2 the Hops

Upper Pass Beer Company IPA - American

Light golden and crispy malt kicks it off, then it's earthy pine and juicy tropical fruits that have a very gentle and subtle fruit flow of red berries. This Quatro combo of hops is very interesting, subtle and pleasant hop experience.

Purchased at Jake's 5 Star Convenience can

Hopped with Idaho 7, Cashmere, El Dorado, and Zappa.
Can pour into a tulip glass.
Hazy orange yellow appearance, with modest fizzy head that dissipates quickly.

States not available. I beg to differ as I am enjoying one currently in a 16 oz can and purchased it on Saturday. I’m really liking it!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy medium golden pour. Thick fluffy white head... great retention and lacing.

S: New England IPA... citrus... grapefruit in particular, with mild tropicals.

T/F: Light grains for body. Juicy tropical/citrus IPA flavor. Grapefruit dominant, with notes of tangerine, guava, and passionfruit. Mild on the bitterness... resinous and oily. Well carbonated. The finish is more citrusy hops.

O: An excellent NEIPA. Spot on for the style... delicious.

Bottle poured into snifter.

Hazy yellow straw with a big foamy head. Head settles into collar around the glass fairly quickly and leaves some nice lacing.

Aroma has some spicy and vegetal characteristics but mostly tropical fruits.

Flavor is definitely hoppy, but nice toasted malt characteristics balance things out. Hops are citrus zest, spicy and herbal, with ripe tropical fruits.

Moderate body and medium carbonation.

Tasty brew. Wide range of hop flavors come together with a nice noticeable malt flavor.
