Tasting out of a can in a large snifter.
Pours a light milky orange with a large foamy head.
Smells of tropical fruits, maybe pineapple.
Tastes of tart fruits.
Fuzzy mouth feel.
Funny, somewhat sour after taste.
Overall ok, but somewhat weak and watery.

From a 16 fl. oz. can stamped 01/09 and a smudged lot number I think. Sampled July 22, 2022.
The appearance is golden yellow with a moderate lingering white head. Some cloudiness but not hazy in the long run.
Aroma f grainy malts, bread, floral hops, and this vague, odd vegetable oil character. Otherwise reasonably inviting.
A medium mouthfeel and fairly smooth.
The sweet grains kick in first but it is the moderate traditional floral hops that rally make this beer interesting at the end. Slightly dry. Lingering bitterness. Nothing awful to say about this beer.

Decent offering from Upper Pass. Has a great smell which, unfortunately, doesn't seem to match the taste (i.e. taste doesn't match the magnificent smell).

A: hazy; dull gold in color; with a fairly aggressive pour, less than a 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; nice rings of lace;
S: not especially aromatic; what's there is lemon and pineapple;
T: almost no flavor up front; subdued pineapple and orange from the middle through the finish; moderate bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; light to moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: OK, but not memorable;

peach, grapefruit, orange, pine needles, subtle spice, floral, bready malt sweetness. slightly lemony and citric, plenty of fruity quality and great display of galaxy but a nice malt profile to balance and pleasant bitterness on the finish to keep it super crisp.
sort of reminds me of an older school style IPA but with a wonderful display of galaxy.

Canned on 12/05/19.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance yielded more of a murky rusty orange color topped by a finger's worth of white foamy head. Really took it's time to dissipate and left some lovely filmy lace.
The aroma had a foreground of citrus pith and rind running into some grassy spicy hops, woody hop oils, some grapefruit juice and an ever so slight touch of black currants.
The flavor leaned slightly towards the zesty/spicy hoppiness initially but seems to develop a keen sense of citrusy bitterness with hop oily woodiness. Aftertaste of zesty hop spice and citrusy pith.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair in between quality of being sipping and sessionable. Good carbonation. Finishes somewhat zesty with a grassy dry punch (guessing that's the dry hopping).
Overall, I'd say a pretty nicely done APA worthy of more pours. Like how the dry hopping seemed at a different stage in this beer.

16 oz. can.
Canned Thursday, the 5th of December, three days ago.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a hazy golden body with lacing. Nose of citrus and slight passion fruit. Taste of citrus, passion fruit, pink grapefruit, a tad black currant, and a bit of peach near the finish which is fairly dry. Very nice! Feel is just fine for an APA. Overall, another stellar offering from UPBC which is brewed and canned at von Trapp Brewing here in Stowe, VT.
Cheers!
