Anyone who lives in the Upper Valley is familiar with the Prouty event put on by The Friends of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the incredible work it does for cancer research funding. Not being content to stand on the sidelines, we wanted to thrust ourselves into their fundraising efforts to forward their noble cause. As such, we’ll be donating 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this beer to help fund their cause. This refreshing Dry-Hopped Pilsner is designed around a blend of old world and new world brewing techniques. We use a traditional lager yeast and prolonged cold conditioning alongside an early dry-hop addition. In the spirit of blending new and old, we kept our malt bill simple with a few basic German malts accompanied by a new US grown hop variety which we've found to be well suited to hoppy lagers called “Contessa”. Ring That Bell has the classic crisp and drinkable qualities of a pilsner with a slightly hazy appearance from the dry-hopping, a clean floral and herbal flavor profile reminiscent of traditional noble hop varieties, and an intriguing light pear finish.

Poured into a 16 oz pint glass at Union Underground. Pours light straw yellow with decent head that rapidly recedes. Tastes of light - very light - ctrus with watery hops taste. Decent.

From a 16 oz. can dated May 7, 2021. Sampled May 22, 2021.
Slightly cloudy yellow-amber pour with lively carbonation leading up to a long lasting white head.
The aroma is grainy, floral, grassy, and even a little lemon zest.
The taste is at first sweet and grainy but then the moderate dry bitterness kicks in to finish it off. Slight grassy notes in the background. Clean, Crisp. Decently done.

16 oz. can.
Just over a week old.
Brewed and packed at von Trapp Brewing.
Moderate pour yields a 6/4 inch white head over an ever so slightly hazy light golden body with some lacing. Nose has noticeable hop aromas and slight cracker malt with a bit of floral/herbal thing going on as well. Flavors have a real nice hop bitterness while finishes nice and dry. Nice feel and overall, a great little Bohemian Pilsner and would certainly recommend.
Cheers to Upper Pass Beer Co. crew and von Trapp Brewing for their hopspitality!
