As soon as I saw "Upper Pass" and "west coast IPA" on the same can, I lunged for the cooler. Was not disappointed - just a perfectly balanced big beer. The malt profile is like the best west coasters and the hops are insanely complicated. Floral, pine, tropical fruit vibes. Hope they keep brewing it. It was not cheap though - 20 bucks for a 4 pack.

16 oz can poured into an elongated tulip glass. A partially hazy orange with amber highlights, a one finger head, good retention. Aroma is earthy hops and pine, balanced by malt presence. Taste is quite similar to the nose with some faint citrus and grass thrown in. Does not feel like 8%, and good balance. Medium feel and carbonation medium low.

Recent canning, new beer, but no date.

Moderate pour yields a one inch (plus) white head over a slightly hazy, medium golden body with sticky lacing. Nose of citrus, pine, and slight tropical fruit. Taste mirrors nose fairly closely with flavors of orange, slight pine and finishing with slight citrus pith bitterness and even slighter pine bitterness.
Cheers to UPBC, Tunbridge for a fine offering!
