Disappointing at best. Bought it because I am always on a hunt for a Czech-style beer. The can's label proudly boasted Léto (Summer in Czech) to be a Czech-style lager. Fail.
Pours light straw color, very hazy/unfiltered. A lot like a German Pils or a Kellerbier. So already a strike for missing that rich clear golden color of a typical Czech pale lager.
Very nicely heady! But no lacing after sips.
The aroma, however, was fantastic. Bready, crackery, summer grass. Quite rich.
The taste was your typical spicy zingy acidic lemony German lager. Germans make some amazing biers, but most of them suck because of their type of hops and hard water. Pretty sure Czech Saaz hops were nowhere near this beer. Too bad.
The feel was pleasantly velvety. German lagers have a very watery thin body. Czech lagers have a medium rich and crisp feel. Léto is on a richer side.
It will go well with some really spicy Tex-Mex. Or maybe used as an ingredient in a recipe.
Don't waste your money if you do love Czech beers.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; 7/30/25 birth date. Pours clear yellow with bubbling effervescent bubbles rapidly percolating to the top; zero head. Nothing too distinguishable or stand out for this palate. Okay.
