SIPL (short for Session India Pale Lager) packs all of the hop flavor and aroma that you expect from an IPA into a beer with only 4.6% ABV. It has a wonderfully delicate aroma of citrus and pineapple. The light body of this beer is still able to carry its pronounced hop spiciness and bitterness. Simply put, SIPL is a showcase of American Hops on a low alcohol, thirst quenching canvas.

This is a collaboration with Urban Chestnut. A hoppy, low ABV lager with a bunch of buzz words...anyway my review below.

A: Pours a brilliantly bright and clear golden yellow color. A dense two finger white head forms with excellent retention and lace.
S: As would be expected, lots of hops in the nose. Grapefruit, orange peal, citrus, even a bit of mango. Cracker like malts and biscuit for balance. Very nice.
T: Grapefruit is up front, along with orange and lemon peal. Other fruity flavors coming through from the hops. Cracker like malts try to balance this out, and bitterness lingers on for a while.
M/O: A light body with effervescent carbonation. Crisp, supper clean and dry. Very enjoyable to drink, something I can come back to very easily.

Making fun of the "Session IPL" naming aside. This is just a well made hoppy American lager. Very easy to drink, and hits all the right style points. I do like it a lot, and will come back to this. Even if it doesn't hold my attention as much as either Riggs or Urban Chestnut's more traditional offerings. All that said, still very enjoyable for what it is.
