Kronprinz Bamberg "American Pale Ale"

Notes: 5.2% ABV. Crystal clear deep amber body beneath a full head of densely creamy white foam. Excellent head retention and lacing. The aroma is lightly floral, citrusy, and piney - Chinook and Cascade. The flavor delivers grainy and caramelish malt with notes of apple, grass, citrus, and spruce. It's perhaps a bit too caramelish, but OK. A clean, moderate bitterness brings it to a mostly dry finish but it's really not bitter enough. Short finish. Light-medium in body and crisp-then-smooth across the palate. Overall I'm going to call this American pale ale "leicht".
