Kronprinz Bamberg "European Amber Lager 2.0"
on tap at the brewery on 17 Septemebr 2017
Notes: I believe that this is the same beer as European Amber Lager 1.0 except that it's double hopped. It's crystal clear amber colored body beneath a full head of white foam. Excellent head retention and lacing. Aroma of generic beer with some caramel and mildly floral, fruity, woody, herbal, and spicy hops - Perle and Saphir. The flavor follows the aroma with grainy and caramelish malt that's just lightly sweetish but balanced but a moderate bitterness, and threaded through with spicy and herbal hops. It finishes clean, short, and dry. In the mouth it's light-medium in body and gently crisp. It's slightly more bitter than version 1.0, and it has more herbala nd spicy hops but it's very much the same.
