Served on draught at the tap room in a 12 oz tulip.

Color is a clear deep berry with an almost non existent white head.
Smells sour, with blackberry coming through.
Taste: acidic bite immediately followed by wild blackberry. Finish is crisp without leaving the mouth dry, aftertaste of blackberry lingers long after the sour acid flavor has disappeared.

Overall a very enjoyable experience, without being too rough for a person who is not used to sour beers.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2016 vintage bottling. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red/light purple color with a small foamy pink head that reduces to nothing pretty quickly. Some light clinging bubbles on the glass, with light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tangy blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, oak, pepper, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balanced and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, oak, and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tangy blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, cherry, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, oak, pepper, wheat, and cracker; with light notes of leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour berries, lemon, green apple, red grape, hay, straw, pepper, wheat, cracker, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, oak, and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/spiciness balance, very slight increasing pucker on the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from tartness and yeast/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, and fairly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.6%. Overall this is a fantastic fruited sour ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance fruity/funky/acidic yeast, blackberries, oak, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced lactic/tangy/tannic finish. Really well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity, oak presence, and blackberry intensity; with a nice malt backbone to balance the acidity. A highly enjoyable offering.

Appearance is deep berry red with almost no head. Some lacing is present.

Nose is sweet and sour berries, funk, and some faint oak and grassy smells as well.

Taste is unripe berries and sour apple with a vinegary acidity that reminds me of kombucha or apple cider vinegar. As it warms I'm picking up more sweetness.

Feel is light but acidic and leaves your teeth feeling gritty with medium carbonation.

Overall this is a well balanced and pretty complex fruity sour that is not overly sour.

It pours a nice purple body with a thin head

The aroma of blackberry is very nice and proheminent.
The taste is vinous and very enjoyable with berries notes with oak notes as vanilla. Very balanced. Certain tartness
The carbonation is fine
Nice
