Poured as a nice black color with a thin tan head on top. The smell of the beer has a nice roasted malt aroma with subtle bourbon notes on the nose. The taste of the beer has a nice rich roasted flavor with subtle vanilla in the late finish. The feel of the beer is smooth. Overall it's a solid brew.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Blue Session. Aroma is a bit fruity with dark malts and chocolate notes. Taste is sweet, malty and syrupy with bourbon, fudge and chocolate flavors.

L: pours pitch black with no head
S: weak aroma...has slight chocolate and bourbon
T: sharper milk chocolate, slight bourbon, bakers chocolate. Lacking barrel though.
