Fresh can poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass.
A: Slightly hazy straw gold with solid 1-2 finger foamy white head with decent retention and spotty lacing around the glass.
S: Haylike grassy pilsner malt character with cracker notes and floral, spicy, slightly grassy hops with a kiss of steely sulfur in the finish.
T: Solid lager flavor although it seems to land in the space between helles and German pilsner with more hopping and less breadiness than most helles. More grainy-grassy than bready but pleasant all the same with more spicy than floral hopping with some herbal undertones. Bitterness is medium due to the clean fermentation with no yeast esters.
M: More crisp and light-bodied without the creaminess I usually look for in a helles. Again, edging into very good German pilsner territory.
O: Enjoyable lager which is a more modern, more aggressive take on the helles style.
