This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This one smells like pure cinnamon toast, with chocolate, a little bit, but mostly otherwise just cinnamon on cinnamon on cinnamon.
American Solera stouts are usually significantly better than this. The cinnamon just absolutely dominates. The apple brandy barrel adds a significant sweetness that clashes with the firey cinnamon. The base Dilemma stout seems nice, with some chocolate notes, but it just feels inartfully done.
This is medium bodied, and not incredibly drinkable, with a way too sweet finish.
I wanted to like this more, as American Solera almost always get me going.
