L: Poured from a crowler to a snifter glass. Had a bright, golden yellow color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, fairly long-lasting head. Average lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, caramel, and tropical fruit.
T: Tasted of a small amount of malt (mostly in the finish; a subtle presence), a bit of caramel (quite sweet), a below average amount of hops (not a huge factor, but definitely present), mild tropical fruit notes (passion fruit, for example), and some citrus fruit (orange, in particular). A sweet, less hoppy flavor. Well-balanced. Pretty tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a slightly syrupy finish. Light-bodied.
O: A solidly done, easy to drink DIPA. Worth a try.

Canned 2/26/20; drank 4/16/20 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge eggshell head; strong, frothy lace.
Baking soda, caramel, mild orange citrus & faint table sugar notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Caramel, baking soda & mild orange citrus flavors; drinkable in a pinch, I suppose, but not good.
Pass.

This is a really nice hazy, piney, earthy, melon/grape DIPA with a good soft mouthfeel and no warming alcohol at 8%. Crusher, recommend picking it up. I’d been limited to local beer for the last month and though it’s all great, it was nice to switch things up and drink a different brewery.

So I finally ventured out to the beer store (Saveon) without breaking quarantine. I had Wally get me some go-to Ohio brews and seven other high end samples, including this 16 oz. can and put them all in my trunk without me getting out of the car. It's great to have some cool brews to help pass the time.
It pours a great AIPA yellow, partly cloudy and pretty foamy for the style. The aroma is a funky dank skunky - a bit dirty and nasty. The taste follows through with a dry, hoppy bitter with some funky yeasty taste and enough malts to realize they are there. It has a relatively clean finish that isn't boozy. My sample is pretty fresh, but not hot out of the brewery - about a month and a half old.
Recommended. It's not just that I haven't had a great variety of brews during my month plus lock down- this one would be OK even if I weren't in the extenuating circumstance of the biggest pandemic of my life (it should be worse than the one that started at my birth in February 1957). The dreamers who dreamed up this brew weren't even dreamed of then.
