From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This monster pours a coal black with a thick
dissipating head of brown foam that settles to a thin ring with faint lacing.
Nose of dark chocolate, dark espresso, cream, and char with vanilla hints.
Flavors surpass the nose with a nice presentation of dark sweet chocolate,
cream, char, rich brulee, deep dark brown sugars, dark fruits, and vanilla
notes amongst rich espresso notes. Nice mouth feel; full slick body, smooth,
rich, coating, and finishing sweet and lightly bitter on the malt side without
being overly cloying....almost there, but not.
Overall, a solid first brew from a new to us brewery!
Cheers

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a pint glass. Had a deep, dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a quarter inch of foamy, tan-colored head that quickly dissipated. Above average lacing.
S: A pretty good aroma of chocolate, malt, cream, and coffee.
T: Tasted of a bit of the aforementioned creaminess (a sweet, subtle quality), a bit of coffee (a nice and warm element), a good amount of chocolate (one of the major ingredients here), and a fair bit of malt (a solid backbone of). This is a focused, subtle and likable flavor. It strikes a good balance between the ingredients.
F: A so-so amount of carbonation with a silky smooth finish. Medium-bodied
F: In general, this is a solidly done stout. Worth a try.
