This barrel aged stout from American Solera, is very Hazelnut forward, to think point of almost tricking your taste buds into thinking it’s coconut. It’s big on flavor, like huge. Not subtle at all, and pretty damn delicious. I bought a pour for a friend last night, and after the first sip, declared it the best beer he’s ever had. Is it really that good? To most with a palate trained to Pastry Stouts, the answer will likely be, “it’s a really good one, not the best I’ve ever had”.
