This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells fairly lambic-ish, with some green apple, pear, stone fruit, white wine, and oak.

This is definitely solid stuff, with a pleasant acidity and wine barrel character, along with grape skin, pear, and the other various fruity things mentioned above.

This is light bodied, pretty clean, and not really all that sour.

American Solera is definitely becoming a bit more known for heavy and flabby imperial stouts lately, but they do still do this sort of thing well, luckily.

saison and spontaneous ale blend aged in sauvignon blanc barrels, a collaboration with a winery i am not familiar with. special stuff, even cooler it came to idaho on a keg, nice to see something other than the cans coming from these guys, this is what i know and love them for, straight up. this has a little pale orange color to it, and is fizzy like a soda without much accumulating head, plenty lively on the palate though, not quite clear but pretty delicate looking. it smells amazing, lambic-esque, more than just tart, tons of mature woody funk, wet earth, iodine, raw wheat character, and a lot of wine barrel influence too, tannic and floral and springy, maybe a touch more malt than it needs, but i like that it stays beery too. the flavor is also killer, tons of cool layers to the ferment, from french saison character to fully wild twang, mature brett, oak, and vinous properties too. green grape, white peach, orange candy, dried hay or straw, faint oxidation emerging as it warms, and puckering mid palate acidity. nice and bubbly, off dry, and just really very good. i miss this kind of thing from these guys and hope more is on the way. fabulous beer, would love to try this bottle conditioned too...
