Look - Nice thick black syrup with a nice dark tan head rimming and lacing
Smell - bourbon barrel caramel chocolate
Taste - barrel and chocolate slight roasted malt
Feel - medium full body and a medium light carb
Overall - if the taste lived up to the smell this would be even better

Black Metal from Jester King is one of my favorite beers and I prefer the funkier, wilder JK version, but this beer is not without its merits.
I bought a bottle at a Houston bottle shop. Poured into a tulip glass. Deep dark brown color with a very brief thin head and no lacing. Nutty dark chocolate smell and taste. The taste is what saves this beer. Sophisticated warming booziness with hazelnut and some licorice. A bit thin for imperial status.
Bought it as part of my Thanksgiving celebration and glad I did!
