No date on can, into a wide wine glass.
Pours a thick hazy orange with fluffy white foam, rather heavy. Aroma is distinctly berry and melon, as well as some spices, but very strong. Flavor is similar, there's a big hit of distinctly blackberry and some strawberry, especially on the finish. There's also a little melon and some herbal bitterness, as well as some diesel on the back end. I'm also getting some sweeter, slightly creamy malt, which helps even out the bitterness on the finish and transitions the fruit flavors well. Feel is good, medium bodied with good smooth carbonation and a little thickness which helps the melon and berry flavors come out.
Overall, a decent first impression from American Solera. It's not beating out Riwaka Power by Southern Grist as my favorite Riwaka-focused NEIPA, but it delivers on the promise of fresh berries and creamy melon well.
