Amongst all the new school hazy NEIPA out there these days, West Coast IPA seems to be a style frozen in time! We brewed a throwback IPA packed with Simcoe & Centennial hops for those classic earthy/pine/citrus notes. Wheeze the Juice!!

Giving Bent Stick another go - forgiving that Hop Gravy thing.
This pours a muddy hazy amber colour (split two ways - second half was frankly just muddy - evoking memories of the aforementioned Hop Gravy) with finger of khaki/cream coloured head.
Aroma actually quite decent - caramel malt, piney hops, grapefruit, generic citrus, earthy.
Taste starts with some grainy malt sweetness, earthy hops, ripe orange, touch of pine with a pleasantly bitter crescendo that balances the sweetness.
Carbonation is a bit muted giving a somewhat flat medium to thin mouth feel - nice little bitter kick that sits briefly. Quite drinkable and enjoyable but missing something - and "unfiltered" - perhaps time to start filtering. Advertised as "West Coast IPA" - not sure exactly the category I would pin it as.

Fresh batch from the brewery - not taking credit but that is clear! Pours a clear copper orange with finger plus of yellow tinged creamy white head.
Aroma is piney, citrus, caramel malt with some earthy resinous hop.
Tastes of caramel malt sweetness but quickly pushed back with a slightly resinous pine, grapefruit, earthy hops - bitterness hangs but never overpowers.
Medium full mouthfeel with nice carbonation and a wonderful lingering bittersweetness at the finish.
The 3.83/5 I scored on the last rendition is no longer valid. Great.
