22 ounce bomber from Sherbrooke beer club selection in Edmonton.
Pours a cola dark brown pushing to black with finger of tannish head.
Aromas of Belgian yeast, phenolic, wheat malt, banana, orange, along with a bit of allspice - as warmed almost a bit of a smoky note. Not sure I got licorice on the nose.
Flavour follows with fruity esters - orange, a bit of banana, hints of the allspice - as warmed it did evolve with a bit of a smoky licorice flavour coming through with just a touch of bitterness.
Thinner side of medium mouthfeel on decent carbonation - certainly easy to drink. Not at all bad.
