Welp, 2020 was one running field goal kick to the groin after another. What. A. Doozy. We wanted to make this year's barleywine extra special, so this one in particular was aged in Heaven Hill bourbon barrels to help you with the… y’know… the forgetting. This beer can be consumed now, or left in the cellar to be aged for months, years, or the next time you need to “self isolate”. Here’s to hoping for brighter years ahead!

Pours a a slightly ruddy dark amber with about a finger of tawny coloured head that fades to to a thin layer.
Aroma is malty with caramel, brown sugar, and some date, but with a good swirl there is a definite nail polish remover note - only real detraction.
Taste is sweet and bready with caramel malt, toffee, notes of date and raisin, and a bit of bourbon - there is just a slight earthy almost piney bitterness at the back.
Medium full mouthfeel with somewhat attenuated carbonation and a primarily sweet slightly boozy finish.
