Every winter, we prepare to welcome a new year by brewing a barleywine! As 2020 was one running field-goal kick to the crotch after another, the impending arrival of 2021 is particularly exciting. We aren’t out of the woods yet, but join us in celebrating a fresh beautiful bouncing baby chance at a good trip around the sun!
Resolutions 2021 brings you notes of dark fruit and toffee that will continue to develop over time. Enjoy now, our cellar for months and better years to come!

Purchased as a two pack in late 2020 from Bent Stick's former north Edmonton location - this and BBA Resolutions 2021 which apparently enjoyed January 1, 2024 - cracked this one New Years Day 2025 - four years in my cellar.
Pours out a slightly muddy dark reddish amber to mahogany colour with scant half finger of tawny beige head.
The nose strikes with dark fruit and brown sugar notes, toffee but with some evidence of pine and citrus, a touch earthy and yeasty.
Sweet on the palate with again the dark fruits - raisin, date, plum - flavours of raisin bread, brown sugar and caramel malt, but with some backend earthy bitterness and hints of pine.
Medium full mouthfeel with slightly subdued carbonation and a quite pleasant (~bitter)sweet finish.
