We’ve known the folks from Polyrhythm through the Edmonton Homebrewers Guild since before any of us were trying to make beer for a living. So with friendship in our hearts, we decided to spend a couple days hanging out and brewing at each other’s breweries! We made two beers and tied them together with the addition of Blue Dream terpenes to add a bit of dank and fruity complexity. We whipped up a tasty Saison called “Tra-La-La” at Polyrhythm and they brought their hazy expertise to Bent Stick where we made “Oom-Pa-Pa” and packed it full of Galaxy and Mosaic. We played Grateful Dead covers of the Beer Barrel Polka (the inspiration for the name) as we ran the beers into the tank to elevate the experience of the fermenting liquid. Keep your eyes peeled for both beers at both taprooms and at your favourite drinking spots around town!

16 ounce can - released about 2 weeks ago. Collab between two quality breweries in Edmonton.
Pours a hazy slightly dull golden with a finger and a half of just off white head with very nice lacing.
Dank on the nose, especially on initial aroma off the head - definitely green and weedy but with fruity notes - peach, berries, tropical melange.
Sweet yet herbal and dank on the palate - grassy, fruity with berries, again some tropical fruit - almost a cotton candy sweetness with a soft, muted bitterness.
Smooth medium mouthfeel, nice carbonation and a lingering sweet and dank finish.
Outstanding.
