We brewed this strong lager as an homage to those perfected by German breweries to be served at Oktoberfest! Made with locally produced pilsner malt from Hogarth Malting near Olds, this lager highlights rich toasty malt notes with a satisfyingly refreshing finish. It could seem intimidating to take a crack at brewing something that comes from such a rich historical brewing tradition, but we think our Brave Little Pröster can hold it’s own in a crowded beer hall with the best of them.

Single 16 ounce can.
Pours a bright golden with streaming carbonation giving a short lived half finger of bubbly white head.
Nose is malty - white bread, a little grainy, hint of caramel.
Bready, doughy, slightly grainy malt on the palate - leans a little sweet; a touch floral with a soft bitterness at the finish.
Medium full mouthfeel - again a little sweet with a bit of cloying heaviness - a touch chewy. Certainly not bad, but not my favourite Festbier of the season.
