First had: on tap at their brewpub
Poured a clear, chestnut brown with a minimal white head that left some decent lacing. Mostly caramel and maybe some Munich malts in the aroma, and not much else. Very woody taste, nutty, and malty, mildly hopped; perhaps just a tad metallic. Medium-bodied, and quite easily sessionable.

it tasted a bit too much of copper for me. metal in my beer just isnt appetizing. didnt like their malting either.
first altbier i have below average.
had one or two other beers from their place and didnt really like any. their burgers are good though. the beers were all just a bit simple and bland.

Pours a deep redish amber with a thin white head that settles after a few minutes and leave good lacing during consumtion.
Smells of a good malts and hops blend.
Has a copper tste to it, but still good. Has a earhty malt flavor to it, but also a nice hops bite as well.
Medium bodied and good carbonation.
I had a few of these and I could of had more.

A - Deep redish amber coloration with a good lingering lacing once settled.
S - This beer has a good smell of a malt and hop balanced combination.
T - Once you take a sip there is a distinct copper taste. The earthy tones and malt give a good overall flavor.

Should be called 'Fore' alarm because it reminds me of my golf game. The pour is a clear amber colored beer with good head and decent lacing.
The nose overall is light but some malty and caramel notes are noticeable. Some pale notes as well. There is a slight soapy aroma as well.
The taste comes out more with a more noticeable malty and caramel flavor. Decent malt backing considering the low ABV. The caramel had a sweeter flavor to it, almost sugary but that may be due to the limited hop flavor. There also is a soapy finish to the beer as well.
The body is light but ok for style. Overall I would say that it has some good qualities, but just like my game, could use some more umph.

Pours a thin layer of off-tan head over a nearly clear copper rust-brown liquid. Smells dark hops, caramel, and just enough roast to give the beer an iron character.
Tastes smooth malt, caramel, and delicious orange hoppy. Quite strong biscuit malt character (could be Special B). Drying ending with some grassy coho hop charcter. A bit of tettnanger character in the hop flavor. Not to style for an alt (too hoppy, IMO), perhaps best classified as a sticke. Flavors are well balanced and blended to make a smooth progression from gentle malt to hop-flavor and then to drying finish that leaves my mouth wanting more. Deliciously drinkable. Md-light body with a smooth creamy character on the tongue. Mild carbonation fits with the gentle flavors.

On tap at the Pumphouse. An altbier according to the beer descriptions that weighs in at 40 IBUs. It pours a clear reddish with a small head that leaves decent lacing. Very malty smell, and a very crisp taste with a light bitterness. Also has some biscuit flavoring that blends well with the flavors.
