Received from barefootbrewer as a replacement for a bottle than broke in my BeerPowerball winnings package. Ken tells me this beer is not bottled and the brewer himself bottled it. Is there such thing as a growler-bottle. Also, the note mentioned this was wet-hopped using Simcoe.

Pours a deep amber with a creamy tan head. Great head retention and rings of lingering lace. The lacing is remarkable - it's been awhile since I've seen this much.

Toasted and nutty aroma with some citrus, maple, and pine.

Rich and flavorful with plenty of malt and lots of depth. Toffee, caramel, fresh bread, brown sugar, and toasted nuts are at the forefront. Hops come in to complement the flavor and add some pleasant bitterness, zesty orange, and pine. Finishes with lingering hop bitterness and a slight resiny pine.

Medium bodied, smooth and soft yet rich on the tongue. Great stuff, could drink this all night. Wonderful balance between the maltiness and hops - Enough of each to satisfy.
