12 oz. on-tap at the brewpub in Taylor, TX
L: about 60-70% clear, copper, 1/2-inch head of creamy offwhite foam that sticks a little; keeps a consistent collar; never clears much
S: dirt-covered caramel, the earthy note is sometimes floral ... like bitter flower petals
T: caramel, toasted peach, orange peel backed by crisp earthy dirt-hop bite; earthy note gets flower-petal bitter again at times; bitterness is very tame and mainly serves as a balancing agent
F: soft, almost cask-conditioned or nitro soft; keeps just a bit of crispness on the back end of each swallow deep into the pint, but it's definitely ale soft
O: fantastic all around except for the mouthfeel that's very unlagerlike; it's 5.5% ABV — if it were 4.5% I'd drink it all day; very English ESB-like with lots of sweet fruity malt flavors on top of an earthy hop foundation
